My name is Marina Chalkia Papageorgiou, and I’m a Graphic Designer based in Newark, UK.
 

I have an eager curiosity about the technical secrets of design, and I always try to come up with innovative ideas. I believe there is always a reason behind every successful design decision, and I genuinely believe design can improve the world.

I have been using the Adobe Creative Suite for over a decade, with four years of experience in print and digital advertising, branding and publications. I’m a Mac and a PC user, and I can adapt quickly and learn any new tools or skills my position requires.

I’m passionate about constantly learning new things; I want to continue expanding my design capabilities in different design aspects. My strong suites are typography, layout design, brand identity, motion graphics and video/image editing. I recently improved my copywriting and behavioural science skills and aim for a certification course this year.

I welcome any challenges that will help me grow as a designer and as an employee. I love working collaboratively and always try to consider my teammates' needs and expectations and be proactive. I strive for efficiency and constantly search for ways to reduce time spent on projects as well as processes within the organisation.

As a student, my designs were selected for the International Society of Typographic Designers Student Awards, the Penguin Design Awards and the RSA Design Direction competition.
